Fashion Luncheon Backstage

OLD WESTBURY, NY – There was a surprise at the 23rd annual Katz Institute for Women’s Health Luncheon & Fashion Show under the tent at Old Westbury Gardens on September 17. Before viewing the luxurious cashmere and fur fashions from the Brunello Cucinelli at Hirshleifers Collection, more than 500 guests were visibly moved by some very special models. A two-time cancer survivor and a heart attack survivor graced the runway along with a woman who battled infertility and fibroids for years who walked with her young daughter. Each model received comprehensive, integrated treatment from North Shore-LIJ’s exceptional clinicians at the Katz Institute for Women’s Health.

Presented by the Partners Council for Women’s Health of the North Shore-LIJ Health System and sponsored by Americana Manhasset, the program was hosted by Rosanna Scotto who served as master of ceremonies for the third year. The co-anchor of WNYW-TV FOX 5’s Good Day New York thanked attendees for their steadfast support of KIWH’s goal of partnering with women to take better care of themselves and their families. “The Katz Institute is passionate about giving women the tools, information and support they need to make the healthiest choices in every area of their lives,” Ms. Scotto conveyed.

The money raised at this year’s event will support community programs, physician education and clinical excellence at the Katz Institute, which directly benefits patient care throughout the health system. Since 1992, Partners Council for Women’s Health has raised more than $7 million in support of the Katz Institute. Striving to improve the health of women across their life span, the Katz Institute provides a path to coordinated, accessible care across the North Shore-LIJ Health System.
